Editors Ethics for Reviewing Nonfiction Works

  • Informational articles will be further researched in order to prevent the spread of harmful misinformation. While contradicting research exists, blatantly wrong information will not be published.
  • Editors will receive blind submissions to ensure bias in selected submissions is limited.
  • If the editors recognize work or have personal biases about the piece they will remove themselves from the editorial process for that individual work.
  • Submissions that are harmful or spread misinformation about a group of people will not be published and the author may be contacted.
  • A team of six editors will individually edit each work and review them with the rest of the team to ensure the submissions are not centered around one viewpoint.
